Medeco hosts Roanoke County Manufacturing Day
Medeco was honored to serve as the host site for this year's Roanoke County Manufacturing Day, welcoming students from Roanoke County Schools to our facility and giving them a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities that exist in modern manufacturing.
At Medeco, we make high-security locking solutions that protect some of the world's most important facilities and assets. But as proud as we are of the products we manufacture in Salem, we are equally proud of the community where we manufacture them.
That's why we were honored to serve as the host site for this year's Roanoke County Manufacturing Day, welcoming students from Roanoke County Schools to our facility and giving them a firsthand look at the exciting opportunities that exist in modern manufacturing.
Manufacturing has long been a cornerstone of the Roanoke Valley economy. It provides stable careers, drives innovation, and supports countless families throughout our region. Yet many students have never had the opportunity to see what a modern manufacturing facility looks like or the wide variety of careers that exist within it.
Events like Manufacturing Day help bridge that gap. Students moved beyond classroom discussions and saw real-world applications of engineering, technology, precision machining, quality assurance, logistics, and skilled trades. During their visit to Medeco, students toured the production floor, observed manufacturing processes in action, and spoke directly with associates and engineers about their careers.
We extend our sincere thanks to Roanoke County, Roanoke County Schools, the educators who organized the event, and the students who spent the day with us. Their curiosity, thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm made the experience rewarding for everyone involved.
At Medeco, we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the incredible work happening inside our Salem facility and to highlight the exciting future of manufacturing in the Roanoke Valley.
