2022 AIA Conference on Architecture Recap

The 2022 AIA Conference of Architecture was held in Chicago and featured best-in-class continuing education, architect-led tours, and new building products.

ASSA ABLOY attended in full swing and showcased their new tradeshow booth. They displayed solutions from our industry-leading Accessories brands; McKinney, Pemko, and Rockwood.

Our Glass Solutions line exhibited the new Box Track Sliding Glass System. Designed for interior commercial applications, it provides a sleek, elegant aesthetic and helps with sound concealment. It also contains a soft open and soft close that gently eases the door into the open and closed positions.

Also shown for Glass Solutions was the stunning 4E Translucent Brass Equivalent Finish. It’s a smooth, durable powder coat applied over stainless steel. This new finish was developed as a substitute for satin brass (US4/606) and suites with hardware from other ASSA ABLOY Group brands.

From Rockwood, our gorgeous knurled pulls shinned like diamonds in The Good Design Studio jewelry case. Designed to pay homage to Rockwood’s 75 years in business, they come in straight and offset versions, with more than 50 unique finish combinations.

Lastly, Rockwood showcased their 495 Fantom Door Stop. It’s a fully concealed magnetic stop that includes a hold-open function, helping to alleviate tripping hazards.
